Hey guys, keep in mind that I was very young when this happened, and I fuck up a lot on what I’m saying, please don’t make fun of me for it…. And if you do I’ll probably make fun of you for what ever is wrong with you…. So, enjoy

Ahhh, the ElectroLift, what a great unit! And yeah, I turned the force all the way up to 7 just so it could life the door without spring tension, they weigh around 250 LBS. I want to see a vid of your chamberlain!

Wow… the middle doors’ force must’ve been really misset to be able to lift that door…
I have a fiberglass door at my family’s summer home in Wisconsin and it only weighs about 70 lbs. I could lift that door if both springs broke.
That probably means an opener can while still being able to stop itself if someone got caught on the door.
My goal is to find a LiftMaster 2000 series (ElectroLift equivalent) with an 8 foot rail that I can put up there.

Hey mike, why didn’t you open the middle door and pull the cables off the pins and then set them aside for later? and you had your van back then? wow. If I were you, I would have kept the 1255s and scrap the whisper drive for parts, ha ha.

Lol, you have a lot of questions, don’t you Sam… Well, the reason why there’s a 78Lm panel on the whisper drive is because I HATED the soft glow panel, the button was extremely loud when you pressed, and I just didn’t like the look of it, and the reason that the panels have the red LED was because when I originally ordered the panels for those units I got the older one’s by mistake. It still worked fine, light, lock etc, but it just didn’t have a green LED.

Mike i like your 3280s alot more than the whisperdrive and why does the whisper drive have a liftmaster 78lm? And in the 58lms why is the led red not green?
