By the time you pre stretch your springs, set up the gadget and set the drums, then fine tune the springs to get the ultimate balance, i could have manually wound both springs. What a waste of money, how funny. Plus you cant work the tool with no side room. Looks like that may also keep your muscles from gaining ha ha ha. I’d burn that piece of shit up if i had wasted my money on that. You new age door guys are funny !

This tool is a great idea, but for residential doors, I think I’ll stick with my old faithful winding bars. I feel like I would be able to better fine tune the tension by adjusting each spring manually.
However, this tool would be perfect for oversized commercial doors, where you are dealing with 3 and 4 springs on doors 10+ feet tall, where winding each spring individually would be too time consuming, and potentially dangerous putting 40+ quarter turns on large 100,000 cycle springs.
